If you have decided to decorate your smile with grills, it’s important that you take extremely good care of your teeth and gums, even more than you did before you got the grills. To help you keep your smile in tip-top shape while you use the products, our White Mountain Dental team recommends doing the following things:

Keep up on oral hygiene

Make sure you brush your teeth twice a day and floss your smile at least once a day, if not more. This will help prevent potential problems because food and other debris can easily get stuck between the teeth and the grills, which will allow bacteria to gather and produce acids. After some time, those acids will create tooth decay and harm your gum tissue.

Limit the wear time

If you have removable grills, it’s best to limit the wear time. Try to only wear them on special occasions and please remember to remove them right before you eat—then that way you’ll have less of a chance of getting food stuck between the product and teeth.

Clean the product

It’s important to clean the grills daily. As you do so, use the correct product that will deeply clean the grills and the teeth. Please do not use jewelry cleaner or any other toxic solution to eliminate germs and bacteria.
